How to play Solitaire
Solitaire on Blibzz is classic Klondike, dealt from the Blibzz deck with Blib as King, Queen and Jack. You choose Draw 1 for a gentler game or Draw 3 for a harder one. It's free play: no coins go in or out, but every deal you solve earns XP, counts toward challenges and can unlock trophies.
The aim
Move all 52 cards onto the four foundations, one for each suit, building each one up from Ace to King.
The deal puts 28 cards into seven columns: one card in the first column, two in the second and so on up to seven, with only the top card of each face up. The other 24 cards are the stock.
The rules
In the columns, build down in alternating colours: a red 6 on a black 7. Any run of face-up cards can move together. When you move the top card off a column, the card under it turns over by itself.
Only a King, or a run starting with a King, can go into an empty column.
Tap the stock to turn cards onto the waste: one at a time on Draw 1, three at a time on Draw 3. Only the top card of the waste can be played. When the stock runs out, tap it to turn the waste back over, as often as you like.
A foundation's top card can come back down onto a column if you need it to hold a run together.
Using the controls
Tap a card to send it where it fits best: up to its foundation first, otherwise onto a column. Or drag a card, or a run, and drop it where you want it.
Undo takes back a move, as many as you like. Hint shows a move worth making, but doesn't make it for you. Auto sends every card that can go up to the foundations. Once the stock is empty and every card is face up, the deal finishes by itself; you can turn that off in the menu. New starts a fresh deal on Draw 1 or Draw 3.
Keys: Space or D draws, U, Backspace or Ctrl+Z undoes, H shows a hint, A plays Auto and N opens a new deal. The menu also has a left-handed setting that puts the stock on the right.
XP and trophies
Every deal is shuffled and checked by the Blibzz server, so solves really count. A solve earns more XP on Draw 3, in under 4 minutes, and without using undo. A deal you give up counts as played once you've made 25 moves.
There are five trophies: Patience, Three's Company (solve a Draw 3 deal), Quick Hands (solve one in under 4 minutes), No Takebacks (solve one without undo) and Card Sharp. If you leave mid-deal, it waits for you for 30 minutes.
Tips
- Turn over face-down cards first. A move that uncovers a hidden card is nearly always better than one that doesn't.
- Don't empty a column unless you have a King ready to go into it.
- When you have the choice, play from the columns before the stock: the columns hide cards, the stock doesn't.
- On Draw 3, think about which card the next pass will show before you take one off the waste.
- Not every deal can be solved, especially on Draw 3. If you're stuck, Undo and try another line, or start a new deal.
