How to play Lantern Deep
Lantern Deep is a deep-sea video slot with five reels, three rows and 20 lines, and you always play all 20. The Lantern is wild, and Pearls start free spins in which every Lantern that lands lights up its whole reel. A round, the spin plus any free spins it leads to, pays at most 5,000× your bet. Over the long run it pays back 96.00% of what's bet, worked out exactly from the reels and the paytable.
The aim
Line up three, four or five matching symbols on a payline, starting from the leftmost reel. Only the best win on each line counts; wins on different lines add up.
Your bet is spread evenly over the 20 lines, so each line carries a twentieth of it: a bet of 100 puts 5 on every line. Line wins are multiples of that line bet.

Lanterns, Pearls and free spins
The Lantern stands in for every symbol except the Pearl, and a line of Lanterns on its own pays too.
Pearls pay wherever they land, in multiples of your whole bet: three pay 5×, four 20× and five 100×. They also start free spins: 8 for three Pearls, 12 for four and 20 for five. Free spins start about once every 177 spins.
Free spins play at the bet that won them. Whenever a Lantern lands during free spins, it lights up its whole reel, so all three of its squares are wild for that spin. Three or more Pearls during free spins add another 8, 12 or 20, up to 200 free spins in one round. If a round reaches 5,000× the bet, it ends there.
Using the controls
Pick your bet with − and +, or tap the amount to see every bet, with Min and Max buttons. Bets go 20, 40, 60, 100, 200 and on up to 20,000. Past that it's No Limit: the bets keep climbing in the same steps up to your balance, at most 1,000,000,000. The lobby has five quick stakes: Shallows (20), Reef (100), Twilight (1,000), Midnight (10,000) and Abyss (20,000).
Tap Spin, or press Space or Enter. Tap Spin again while the reels turn to stop them sooner; the result stays the same. On a keyboard, the up and down arrows change the bet and T switches Turbo, which makes every spin quicker.
Auto plays 10, 25, 50 or 100 spins at your bet. It stops when free spins start (you can turn that off), on a win of 15× or more if you choose, or when your balance can't cover the bet. Tap Lines to see the paytable and rules.
Tips
- A 96.00% return means about 4 coins of every 100 bet stay with the machine on average. Expect your balance to drift down over a long session.
- Lantern Deep is medium-high volatility: about 41.6% of spins pay something, and a big share of the return comes from free spins. Quiet spells are normal, so pick a bet that gives you plenty of spins.
- The return is the same at every bet. A bigger bet only makes the swings bigger.
- The result of each spin is decided the moment you press Spin, from a secure random number. Stopping the reels early, or Turbo, doesn't change it.
- No run of losing spins makes free spins 'due'. Every spin is independent.
